Making an IMPACT
Westside Recreation Centre has grown over the last decade to become a fixture of community and wellness for the surrounding areas they serve. With the West C-Train expansion right on their doorstep, and construction as far as the eye can see, Westside saw an opportunity to further entrench their values and vision in the community with a series of full page ads in IMPACT magazine.
Running through to the end of 2012, the series of 7 ads express the Westside vision and values - people of all ages and backgrounds, of all fitness levels, engaging in active lifestyles and various activities on a life path of happiness and wellness. Westside is more than just another recreation centre in the city of Calgary - it truly is the heart of a community.
Reporting to the community
The story of Westside is unique and involves a broad range of organizations and individuals who came together to build one of Calgary's most vibrant and unique centres of community and recreation over a decade ago.
As a result, Westside Recreation Centre has a responsibility to report to it's membership, the City of Calgary, its long list of supporters as well as the surrounding communities at large. Formally, the Westside Recreation Annual Report has been the primary means to do so. Responsible for creative vision, copy writing, layout and pagination of the multi-page 2011 Westside Annual Report, RedCity Creative stepped up to produce the latest chronicle of Westside Rec activities, responsibilities and progress. Head on over to the Westside Rec website to view a digital version for the report for yourself...
